Indikace
Intended to be used for infusion of intravenous fluid, drugs, blood or blood products in peripheral venous bloodstream, or blood sampling.
Popis
PTFE short IV cannula with lateral injection port.A male Luer-lock stopper is fitted on the needle hub ; it can be used to obturate the catheter if it is not used immediately after placement.
This catheter is made of:
- An internal needle guide with a transparent hub to visualise the blood reflux when puncturing.
- A transparent PTFE catheter tube with tapered distal end. The hub of the catheter includes fixation wings and a lateral injection port with valve (silicone) which is used for intermittent injections with a syringe. This lateral injection port includes also a colour coded cap according to the catheter’s diameter. The colour code meets the requirements of the ISO 10555-5 standards.
This catheter is available in 7 sizes: 24G (code 110.806), 22G (code 110.808), 20G (code 110.810), 18G (code 110.813), 17G (code 110.815), 16G (code 110.817) and 14G (code 110.821).
