Indikace
Seldisafe is used to puncture a vein or an artery. Through the needle, a guidewire can be introduced
which will allow the placement of a catheter according to the Seldinger technique.
Popis
Seldisafe is a safety needle for venous or arterial puncture which allows the insertion of metallic guidewires used to insert vascular catheters by the Seldinger technique.
After puncturing the vessel with the Seldisafe needle mounted on a syringe, the guidewire is inserted and while maintaining the guidewire in place, the user pulls down the plastic white loop and holds it against the skin of the patient.
The user then pulls the hub of the needle ; a safety device slides along the needle and neutralizes the needle bevel preventing all risk of needle-stick injury.
