Specific extension lines
Safeguard, Protect-A-line and Protect-A-spiral are extension lines with an anti-siphon valve, used as a part of the infusion line connected to vascular catheters, for the infusion of intravenous solutions by syringe drivers/infusion pumps. In some cases, they are fitted with an air-eliminating filter, a lateral port equipped with a non-return valve or a coiled tube. Filter-A-line is an extension line with a venous filter, part of the infusion line connected to vascular catheters, for infusion and filtration of intravenous solutions
