Indikace
PPS® Nano safety Huber needles are indicated for:
• Administration or withdrawal of fluids through implantable ports.
• Pressure injection of contrast media into the central venous system (up to 325 psi / 2241 kPa maximum) during CT scan or MRI exams, only with an implantable infusion port that is also indicated for high pressure injection.
19G (ø 1.1mm): maximum recommended infusion rate at 11.8 cPs: 5ml/sec.
20G (ø 0.9mm): maximum recommended infusion rate at 11.8 cPs: 5ml/sec.
22G (ø 0.7mm): maximum recommended infusion rate at 11.8 cPs: 2ml/sec.
All codes can be used on adult and in paediatrics (children > 10 kg).

PPS® Nano is a curved safety Huber needle with a tubing (extension line), compatible with high pressure injections, CT scan (Computed Tomography) and MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) exams.PPS® Nano is designed to prevent blood-borne pathogen exposures caused by accidental needlestick injuries.
PPS® Nano is available without Y-site and with a safety adaptor Qimo female pre-sealed to the female Luer-lock at the tip of the tubing. The needle is available in various lengths (15, 17, 20, 25, 30, 35mm) and diameters (22G, 20G, 19G).
PPS® Nano is supplied with one clamp indicating the gauge, the maximum flow rate and the maximum pressure supported by the needle during high pressure injections.
The Qimo connector female complies with standard ISO 80369-1 and prevents connection errors with other ISO 80369 connectors. Its proximal bayonet connection can also fasten to Qimo male.
PPS® Nano are packaged in 10 per box.
PPS® Nano is not made with dry or natural rubber latex (raw materials and packaging).

15mm is the preferred length for use in pediatrics. 35mm is the recommend length for use in larger patients.
References vary according to the useful length of the needle and the gauge size of the needle.
