This device is designed to diagnose mechanically ventilaled associated nosocomial pneumonia.
Popis
Aspisafe 2 is a twin radio-detectable catheter allowing blind sampling (code 538.25) or introduced through the lumen of a fiberscope tubing (code 538.34) and designed for the diagnosis of mechanically ventilated associated nosocomial pneumonia.The device is made up of:
- An external catheter closed on the distal end by a polyethylene glycol (PEG) cap.
- A second catheter fitted inside the first catheter
- A spacer to avoid an untimely expulsion of the PEG cap while using the device.
Each catheter has a female Luer-lock proximal connector.
